Abbitt Branham Jr.

Abbitt Branham, Jr., 65, of Port Arthur passed away June 20, 2020. He was born in Port Arthur, Texas on November 11, 1954 to the late Abbitt Branham, Sr. and Sylvia Wilmer Branham. Abbitt was a proud member of the Monacan Indian Tribe of Lynchburg, Virginia.

Those left to cherish Abbitt’s memory are his sons, Trae Branham, III of Austin, and Dylan Branham of Austin; his brothers, Rev. Thomas and his wife Debbie of Lafayette, Indiana, and David Branham and his wife Carol of Port Neches. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Charles Branham; and his sisters Barbara Branham and Pamela Branham.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Wednesday June 24, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 6:00 p.m.

RIP in Peace Abbitt ( Junior Bug)..I have fond memories of Abbitt--always funny--Hogging the Mic at our reunion at the Bowling Alley bar ( don't know the name) but during karoke he would always step up and sing with us girls..but he would take the mic from me then I'd take it back..I remember him as a fun loving friend..You will be missed..

Rest In Peace, Junior. You will be missed. My most vivid memory of Bug was when he brought me to Taylor’s bayou bridge and we climbed to the top and jumped off. I must have been about 14 or 15. Always had time to talk if you ran into him. All around good person in my opinion. Again Rest In Peace, Brother.........:disappointed:
