Adam Bertrand, 78, of Port Neches, Texas died Thursday, December 1, 2011 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur, Texas. Adam was born April 8, 1933 in Groves, Texas to Adam Bertrand, Sr. and Edith Bergeron Bertrand. He was a lifelong resident of this area and a retired self employed Auto Mechanic and Auto Body Repairman. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches and Founding Member of The Independent Garagemans Association of Texas and Automotive Service Association. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, December 5, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Reverend Monsignor Bennie Patillo officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, December 4, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service to begin at 5:30 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches. He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Lee Bertrand and brother, Preston Bertrand. Surviving relatives include his wife, Betty Sue Bertrand of Port Neches, Texas; sons, Ronald J. Bertrand and wife, Denise of Orange, Texas; Roland J. Bertrand and wife, Diane of Winnie, Texas; brother, John Allen Bertrand of LaBelle, Texas; grandchildren, Clint Bertrand and wife, Jennifer, Adam Lee Bertrand, Shaun Bertrand, Katie Bertrand, Sarah Bertrand Dupuy and Shaye Bertrand; great grandchildren, Marli Grace Dupuy, Max Tanner, Alex Tanner, Griffin Thomas Bertrand and several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Elizabeth Catholic Church or American Lung Association.
