Alberta E. Farris, 96, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Holland House. Alberta was born January 31, 1920 in Port Neches, Texas to Mark Lee and Norma Jettun Lee. She was a lifelong resident of Port Neches and a member of First United Methodist Church Port Neches for 91 years. She was also a member of Port Neches Eastern Star # 677. Alberta was a homemaker and a retired receptionist. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 29, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Port Neches with Reverend Michael Peschke officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches. Alberta was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Gabe Farris, granddaughter, Lee Ann Fabacher and brothers, Herbert Lee and Burney Lee. Surviving relatives include her son, Garry Lee Farris and wife Phyllis of Port Neches, Texas; grandson, Darren Farris and wife Candy; 6 great-grandchildren, Brittany Jennis, Judd Farris, Trent Fabacher, Casey Daigle and husband Eric, Derrick Farris, Meagan Lindsey and husband Lance; 2 great-great grandchildren, Madilyn Bachelder and Ulysses Daigle. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church Port Neches Building Fund.

I am so sorry for you loss. I only met Alberta a few times in my life. I remember her as a fun and loving person and my Mom loved her. (They were cousins) May God bless you all.

I have known Mrs Farris for 40 year as my best friend neighbors We would take in the drive way. Turns out she went to school with my Uncle Sam Beaumont She loved her family. She will be missed
