Alberta and I were close friends at St Joseph Elementary School in Rayne. I dearly loved her. My first husband, Roland Molbert and Alberta were first cousin. Roland’s mother was Thelma Arsement Molbert. Will miss her. I looking forward to calling her for her birthday on August fifth. May she have a happy heavenly birthday! She and Hadson are together again. Will miss her.

We didn't get a chance to know Mrs. Roy very well, but while she was with us, it didn't take long for the entire staff to just fall in love with her sweet smile and nature. She was so kind and easy to talk to and care for. It's not often I find a patient from Mid County here in Cypress, but she was surely a bright spot here! I hated to see her seem to go so quickly but I'm sure she is in a better place and having a ball up there. I hope the family will know how much we loved taking care of her and will miss her at the dialysis clinic. She had such a great attitude about it and that's not always the case here. My deepest sympathies to her family at this time. Janet - Davita Cypress Fairfield

My husband (Lloyd) and I were fortunate to meet Hadson and Alberta twenty years ago when we joined the Pirate Sam's RV Club. Their photos captured the images that I willl always remember of Hadson and Alberta--nearly always smiling. Hadson enjoyed telling jokes, especially Cajun ones, and was good at it. They were both very thoughtful people--Alberta would even send (mail) us cards for our anniversary and birthdays (WITH special notes): such a graceful lady. At many of our get-togethers, they provided their yummy punch. I loved listening to their stories since I grew up in a metropolitan area and their early rural life was so different. One that they shared is that Alberta, while growing up, had admired a friend's Fenton (?) glass punch bowl set (?). After Hadson and Alberta's wedding, the friends arrived in horse and buggy delivering the set to the Roys. Alberta will be missed at our weekly Thursday night eat outs (if they ever get to resume from the pandemic). They were proud of their children. Hadson and Alberta were fortunate that they were able to make and have so many wonderful memories. I am glad that I was one of their many friends. My thoughts and prayers for the Roy family. My late daughter Sharie Tompkins Roy was married to Danny Roy and we were so blessed to share Thanksgiving Dinner one year in our home with Alberta. She was such a blessing to us and gave everyone a copy of her cookbook she had published. Our prayers go out to all of the Roy family.
