Aldera Dawn Jones, 72, of Port Acres, Texas passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021. Aldera was born February 22, 1949 in Holyoke, Massachusetts to William and Beverly Wilson.

Aldera was a devout Christian, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Aldrea is preceded in death by her parents, William Lloyd Wilson and Beverly Newberry Wilson.

Those left behind to cherish Aldera’s memory are her husband of 29 years, Gary Lynn Jones; son, Jason Scott Fountain of Kerrville, TX; daughter, Kristi Jo Young (Steve) of Fannett, TX; stepsons, Troy Jones (Shannon) of Nederland, TX; Kurt Jones (Jeana) of Vidor, TX; stepdaughter, Melanie Abshire (Dean) of Port Neches, TX; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Bill Wilson (Anita) of California; Tom Wilson (Jane) of Florida; sister, Robin Seiber of Washington State.

The family would like to thank Pastor Trenton Stevicks at Mid County Baptist Church for his home visits and continued prayers and a special thank you to hospice nurse, Nicole Belanger for the love and care she provided to Aldera. Also, the family would like to extend their appreciation to Melancon’s Funeral Home and staff for their professionalism and compassion during our time of need.
