Alfred Ernest Smith, 73, of Port Neches, Texas died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas. Alfred was born November 9, 1939 in Port Arthur, Texas to Ernest Edward Smith and Eula Allen Smith. He was a lifelong resident of this area and a member of Southside Baptist Church in Port Neches. He was a retired Civil Engineer with Texas Department of Transportation. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches with Rev. David Birdsong officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. Visitation for family and friends will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2012 at the funeral home. Surviving relatives include his wife, Theresa Geri Smith of Port Neches, Texas; daughters, Jo Rowell and husband Michael of Port Neches, Texas; Debbie Guilbeaux and husband Brian of Orange, Texas; Tawny Webb and husband Robert of Port Neches, Texas; sister, Clara Westbrook and husband Ronnie of Port Neches, Texas; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Southside Baptist Church Building Fund PO Box 597 Port Neches, Texas 77651.
