Alfred D. Weeks, 94, of Port Neches, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2017 in Port Arthur. Alfred was born on April 22, 1923 to the late Bernie Weeks and Essie Anderson Weeks in Moselle, Mississippi. He was a retired supervisor from Unical with 36 years of service. Alfred served his country in the United States Army Air Corps in WWII, as a P-47 Thunderbolt pilot where he flew 39 missions.
Alfred is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Nora Weeks of Port Neches; son, Larry D. Weeks and wife, Rebecca of Wildwood, TX; grandchildren, Laura King, Anthony Weeks and Melissa Paterson and 10 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael D. Weeks; grand-daughter, Cheryl Messer; 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with the funeral service to follow a 11:00 a.m. at 1st Baptist Church in Port Neches. The interment will be at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
