Alice Flores Hernandez passed from this life into God39s loving embrace on December 27, 2011.Alice was born on May 19, 1937 in Port Arthur, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Hernandez parents, Natividad Flores and Julia Ortiz Flores and her sister Diane Sue Canizales. In her passing, she is succeeded by her children, Rene Anthony quotAndyquot Ledesma Richard Aaron quotRickyquot Ledesma and wife June, and Rebecca Alice Mamos and husband Robert along with four grandchildren and an abundance of brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.Alice was a native of Port Arthur, and most recently was the retired office manager of Cabrera39s Jewelry in Port Neches. A lifelong United Methodist, Alice was a beloved member of Iglesia Methodista Unida Getsemani.A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon39s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H in Nederland from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 31, 2011 at the funeral home, Rev. Joel Mora and Rev. Michael Westbury officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County in Nederland.
