Alice Montalvo Martinez, 87, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Friday, January 22, 2016 at her residence. Alice was born March 6, 1928 in Brackettville, Texas to Alfonso and Reyes Montalvo. She was a bookkeeper in her early years, and a homemaker. She married Porfirio Martinez in Hawaii and traveled around the US as a Navy wife, moving back to this area in 1969. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Reverend Urbano Saenz Ramirez, O.S.A. officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to begin at 6:00 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2016 at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches. Alice was preceded in death by five sisters and a brother. Surviving relatives include her husband, Porfirio Martinez of Port Neches, Texas; four children, Dr. Lani Randall and husband, Len of Crystal Beach, Texas; Mark Martinez and wife, Wendy of Mid County, Texas; Lisa Welty and husband, William of Nederland, Texas; Greg Martinez of Port Neches, Texas; brother, Jesse Montalvo and wife, Toby of Port Arthur, Texas; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
