Alice Salas LeBlanc

Alice Salas LeBlanc, 87, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away April 20, 2011 at Cypress Glen Nursing Home in Port Arthur. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on December 25, 1923 to the late Roberto and Alta Gracia Palacios Salas. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Port Arthur. Alice was known for her tortillas and traditional Mexican wedding cookies. She was a dedicated Catholic, a faithful servant who loved her church. Alice loved her family, friends, and pets. She was also a devoted mother and sister.Alice is survived by her sister, Socorro Burnett of Port Arthur caregivers nephew, Tony Resendez and wife Nancy nieces, Martha Strapac and Diana Reno and nephews, Edward Salas and Richard Burnett. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Lydia Lynn LeBlanc 2 brothers, Robert Salas and Salvador Salas and 2 sisters, Patsy Salas Flowers and Hilda Salas Resendez Durham. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Melancon39s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H in Nederland, Pastor Ralph Martin officiating.
