Aline Henderson Gothia, 94, from Port Neches, Texas, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on Monday, April 1, 2024. Aline was born to Allen and Beulah Henderson on January 8, 1930.
Aline Henderson Gothia was not just a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother but a beacon of strength and love for her family and community. Her legacy extends beyond her titles to the profound impact she had on those around her.
She was known for her wit and jovial spirit, which remained with her until her peaceful passing.
Aline's passion for creativity shone brightly through her career as a business owner of the L&R Variety Store for many years. Her dedication to her family was unwavering, and she took great pride in supporting them wholeheartedly.
In addition to being a talented seamstress and craftswoman who enjoyed puzzles and home improvement projects like staining cabinets and painting, Aline found joy in life's simple pleasures. She was fond of travel and cherished dining at The Cracker Barrel and Luby's, where she made cherished memories.
One of Aline's proudest accomplishments was "doting" on her grandchildren - a testament to her boundless love for her family. Her nurturing spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those lucky enough to have known her.
Aline leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will be carried on by those closest to her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Beulah Henderson; sisters, Doris Cole and Gloria English; brother-in-law, William M. English, Sr., and nephew, William "Bill" English, Jr.
Aline is survived by her beloved husband of 75 years, Lindy Gothia of Port Neches, Texas; daughters, Linda Gothia of Port Neches, Texas; Cindy Gothia Reynolds and husband, Nathan "Buddy"; and Mindy Gothia; grandchildren, Lindsey Gothia Gill and husband Steven; Morgan West and wife Naomi; Alan Reynolds and wife Michelle; Kevin Reynolds and wife Lindsey; great-grandchildren, Bryson Gill,
Elijah West, Zack Gill, Ayla Reynolds, Charlie Reynolds, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins whose lives her kindness touched.
We thank the hospice nurses, Amy and Cindy, and our cousins, Vickie Rachal Thompson and Mary English Hudson, for their kindness, support, and love. They are what families are all about. We love you all.
