Allen Melton, 81, of Port Neches, Texas passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018. He was born in Valley View, Texas on July 6, 1936 to the late, John Alford Melton and Una Spraggins Melton. Allen was a mechanical engineer for Huntsman for 10 years. Allen served his country proudly in the U. S. Air Force.

Allen is survived by his wife, Sherry Spivey Melton of Port Neches; his son, Don Melton and his wife, Donna of Bridge City; his daughters, Elizabeth Martin of Vidor and Susan Tibbits and her husband, Doug of Memphis, TN; his grandchildren, Chris Melton, Brandon Tibbits and his wife, Rachael, Kailey Tibbits and Katie Tibbits; great-grandchildren, Madyson Melton, Mallorie Melton, Ryden Tibbits, Brantley Tibbits, and Dustin Melton; and a host of loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers; and 1 sister.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland with funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
