Amelia Mendoza Watler, 82, of Port Arthur died Friday August 19, 2011 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. Amelia was born on August 20, 1928 in Cabo Grasia a Dios, Honduras to Marcelino and Balentina Mendoza. Amelia was a resident of Port Arthur, Texas for 27 years. Amelia was preceded in death by her husband Lorenzo Watler. A visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday August 27, 2011 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a Rosary recited at 6:00 pm. Burial will follow at a later date in Nicaragua. Amelia is survived by three daughters Lillian Ward, Elsa Cabrera, and Rosa Watler; seven sons Jose Watler, Efrain Watler, Lorenzo Watler, Randolpho Watler, Aldophina Watler, Donisio Watler and Nicolas Watler; one sister Aminta Mendoza; one brother Gonzales Mendoza; forty grandchildren; forty eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
