Ana Claire English Ana Claire English, 78, of Groves, passed away Friday, November 2, 2012 at Oak Grove Nursing Home in Groves, Texas. She was born on March 29, 1934 in Nederland, Texas to Tilden and Myrtle Sanarens Trahan. Ana was a lifelong resident of this area and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves. She was a retired teacher from Port Arthur Independent School District. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves with Reverend Monsignor Kenneth Greig officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be Monday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with a rosary service to begin at 6:00 p.m. Ana was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Charles English, daughter, Bridget Claire English, and brother, Theodore Joseph Trahan. She is survived by her sons, David Charles English of Groves and Patrick James English of Groves, step daughters, Debra Davis and husband, Mike of Beauxart Gardens, and Lisa Fowler and husband, Richard of Colmesneil, step son, Michael Ray English and wife, Karen of Woodville, four sisters, Joyce Bailey and husband, James of Port Arthur, Carol Crain and husband, Charles of Tyler, Sandra Brunotte and husband, Ben of Lumberton, and Gail Jagneaux of China, two brothers, Chris Clark of Houston, Randy Trahan of Groves, and seven grandchildren.

Mrs. English was a substitute teacher of mine in elementary school over 20yrs ago....she left a lasting impression on me. So sorry for your loss my thoughts and prayers are with Mrs. Englishs' family.

Randy I know how much Anna Claire touched so many lives, mine included. Now she home and having a joyous reunion with Mom & Dad Teddy Jo & her mate.
