Andrus Schexnider

Andrus Schexnider, 83, of Groves, Texas passed away Monday, September 22, 2014. Andrus was born February 2, 1931 in Kaplan, Louisiana to Obrey Schexnider and Eve Longion Schexnider. He was an area resident for 76 years and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Andrus retired from Texaco Chemical as an operator after 37 years of service. He was also a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Keith. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Betty Schexnider of Groves, TX; daughter, Pam Schexnider of Groves, TX; and brother, Melvin Paul Schexnider of Hemphill, TX. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend Shane Baxter officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
