Angel Costilow, 44, of Port Arthur passed away February 1, 2014. She was born in Port Arthur on September 9, 1969 to Bob Costilow and Sandra Mitchell. She was employed as realtor.

Funeral services will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Kyle Trahan officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2014 at the funeral home.

Angel is survived by her father, Bob Costilow of Nederland; mother, Sandra Mitchell and husband Michael of Nederland; sons, Jake and Josh Elmore, both of Port Arthur; sister, Shannan Costilow of Nederland; and brother, James Wills of Port Neches. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Audrey Costilow, James R. Costilow, Donald Bescher, and Mary Ann Wills.

Angel was the "oldest" in the neighborhood when we moved to Fellswood Lane, Port Neches, in 1973. She was 4 and our son, Jason, was 3. We had another son, Jeremy, in 1975. Her sister, Shannon, came along soon after and the four of them burned the sidewalks with "hot wheels" - trikes - & bikes. Filling the air with laughter, birthday parties and lemonade stands. We moved away a few years later, but always cherished that time. Bob and I became friendly Realtor competitors (he's one of the best) and then we moved up to Shelby County and the Sabine Nat'l forest. We kept up with them in the newspapers, then the internet. To Bob, Sandra, her sons and Shannon, were send our deepest sorrow, sympathy and prayers to each of you. To her sons: Josh and Jacob, we never met. But, add that your mom was a very fun child. We were fond of her and her sister. Here we are, 40 years later, and we can remember the fun shared as they played.
