Angela Veronica Lavergne Dean, 52, of Port Neches, Texas died Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. Angela was born October 27, 1961 in Rayne, Louisiana to Isaac Lavergne and Olivia Dugas Lavergne. She was a lifelong resident of this area and a member of First Baptist Church in Port Neches. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches with Dr. David Mahfouz officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at the funeral home. Angela was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Lavergne and Martha Perrodin. Surviving relatives include her husband, Bill Dean of Port Neches, Texas, sons, Casey Dean of Beaumont, Texas; and Jacob Dean of Port Neches, Texas.

Oh Angela I don't even know where to begin! I was so looking forward to seeing you on Monday my heart just aches that it did not work out that way! I will forever hold dear our late night conversation and our deep thoughts sharing and talking about the boys! You were such an amazing friend and always cared about what others needed or wanted before your own! I know how much I'm gonna miss you, I can only imagine what pain and hurt your family is going thru! I will pray for peace and comfort for them as you watch from about now!! And I love ya girl you are amazing at so many things but like you pictures are what I liked most all those smiles! Angela was such a sweet sharing young lady. One memory I'll never forget was when she put a banner in our yard for our deceased son Dean's sport activity at the time. She was such a great supporter of the Indian Band. She will definitely be missed. Our prayers are with her family.

I have so many great memories of Angela and feel so lucky that she was a part of my life as a kid. I am stunned that she is no longer with us and sad that I never really got to let her know how much I cherished our friendship, but I am relieved that she feels no pain and is with her parents and sisters watching over her husband and sons. It was amazing to me to see the mom that she became for her sons and how proud she was of them both. I don't think I have ever seen a mom more proud than she was. Angela will be missed by so many...more than she ever knew. RIP my friend.

Angela has been our friend for many years since old Allied days. She and Bill were silly with us. We loved to hang out together. She always had such a funny since of humor and could always make you laugh. She could make you laugh to tears and could like no other. We will miss you pretty lady. Dear Bill and Sons, We do not know one another personally but I feel like we have known each other for a long time. Why? because of the extreme love and pride that Angela had for and in each of you.
