Angela "Babe" LaFrennie

Angela “Babe” LaFrennie, 88, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 in Flower Mound, TX. Babe was born in Port Arthur, TX on May 13, 1928 to the late Homer Romero and Amelia Judice Romero. She taught reading to slow readers at St. James Catholic school. She worked for the Southeast Texas Regional Planning Commission. Babe was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Groves, TX. She was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur and Groves until moving to Dallas in 2009.

Angela is survived by her daughter, Cyndee Borel and husband, Paul of Coppell, TX; grandchildren, Adam Borel of Chicago, IL and Peyton Borel of Coppell, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph Clifton LaFrennie; sister, Zella Raby; brothers, Alvin Romero and Alfred Romero.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Friday, March 3, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 8:00 p.m. prayed by Rev. George Henninger at Melancon’s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H in Nederland, TX. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves, TX at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Kevin Badeaux officiating. The interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, TX.

Cyndee and family,Aunt Babe was such a thoughtful person and a great cook! She would always bring us to the movies. I have fond memories of spending time at your house. I treasure the times seeing our mom's together, knowing they had a special friendship.
