Anita Mary LeBlanc

Anita Mary LeBlanc, 85, of Nederland, Texas passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 in Port Arthur, Texas. Anita was born in Port Arthur, on January 25, 1936 to the late, Forest and FeDora LeBlanc.

Anita worked for the Nederland Independent School District and retired with 30 years of service.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Dodi LeBlanc, Dirk LeBlanc and his wife, Janet, Lyle LeBlanc, Marti LeBlanc and Bonnie Theriot; her sister, Virgie Thibodeaux Bourque; 19 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Anita is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Joseph McCord; her siblings, Mary Ann, Anosia, Lula and Lula Mae; her children, Lloyd Paul LeBlanc, Gerry Wayne LeBlanc, Stacy Ann Armand, Glenda Denise Reeves and Bret Joseph LeBlanc.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate and honor Anita’s life will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas on Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
