Anita Varela, 60, of Groves passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at her home. She was born October 24, 1958 in Beaumont, Texas to Herman A. Varela and Paula Beatrice Munoz Varela. Anita was a lifelong area resident and member of Jehovahs Witness Kingdom Hall. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend John Wagner officiating. Anita was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Paula and Tony Castillo. Anita is survived by two brothers, Herman J. Varela and wife Dolores of Groves and Benjamin Varela of Houston and sister, Carmen Morales and the late Frank Morales of Tyler.
