Anna Louise Champagne, 62, of Port Neches, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur. She was born on December 8, 1951 in Beaumont, Texas to Ray Babb and Melba Prevost Babb. She worked for Turner Industries in human resources for 18 years and was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Shane Baxter celebrant. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. A gathering of the family and friends will be held on Friday, June 13, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland.
Mrs. Champagne is survived by her husband, Joe Champagne of Port Neches, TX; mother, Melba Babb; sons, Jason Snell and wife, Melissa Boswell of Austin, TX; Mark Champagne and wife, Susie of Nederland, TX; Brett Champagne and wife, Tammy of Groves, TX; daughters, Sharon Johnson and husband, Jon of Whitehouse, TX; Julie Champagne of Groves, TX; Angela Osburn and husband, Kenneth of LaBelle, TX; sister, Barbara Nichols and husband, Don of Red Rock, TX; brother, Ray Babb and wife, Sharon of St. Charles, MO; many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father.
