Annie Mae Phillips, 84 of Groves, Texas passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2013. Annie was born May 6, 1929 in Bayou Current, Louisiana to Elise Frank Vigie and Artile Dupre Vigie. She was a resident of Groves for 67 years and was a longtime member of Friendship Baptist Church of Groves. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Phillips. Survivors include her daughter, Dianne P. Hoyt and husband, Jody of Groves, TX; sisters, Hazel Smith of Baton Rouge, LA, Rita Meyers and husband, Whitney of Gulfport, MS; brother, L.G. Vigie of Huntington Beach, CA; grandson, Jason Courville and wife, Leah; great-grandchildren, Ava, Roman, and Asher. We wish to thank her caregivers, Irene Berg, Terry Savoy and Odyssey Hospice. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend Travis Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday evening from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
