Anthony E. Concienne, 92, of Nederland passed away Sunday, May 5, 2019 at his residence. Anthony was born October 12, 1926 in Morgan City, Louisiana to the late Joseph Concienne and Beatrice Breaux Concienne. He retired from Neches Butane as a Lab Technician with 38 years of service. He was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland, and also served his country in the U.S. Navy.
Anthony is survived by son, David Concienne and his wife, Tricia of Nederland; his daughters, Lisa Lawler and her husband, Steve of Nederland, and Paula Abraham and her husband, Les of Austin; his brothers and sisters, Gloria Stark of Beauxart Gardens, Theresa Dickinson of Dallas, Pat Concienne, of Washington, Lynn Concienne and his wife, Cosette of Beauxart Gardens, Genelle Austin of Central Gardens, Mary Worthy of Orange Field, Camellia Woodward and her husband, Bill of Temple, Gayle Sheppard and her husband, Oatis of Nederland, and Judy Rogers and her husband, James of The Woodlands. He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dot Concienne; his son, Ricky Concienne; his grandson, Josh LeBoeuf; his sisters, Annabelle Babin, Marion Dubose, Beatrice DeLord; and his brother; Joseph Concienne.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland, with Rev. John Hughes, and Rev. Eathan Oaks officiating with interment to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County under the direction of Melancon’s Funeral in Nederland. A gathering of the family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at St Charles, 211 Hardy Avenue in Nederland.
Lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association and/or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
