Anthony "Tony" McCloud

1987 ∼ 2022

Anthony “Tony” McCloud, 34, of West Orange, Texas passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Beaumont. Tony was born on May 15, 1987 in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Anthony was an amazing person with a sense of humor and personality like no other. He loves to read, cook, and travel. He grew up in Groves and as a teen, worked on a local crab boat. It was during that time he developed a deep passion for the water. That passion led him to choose a career working on tugboats all along the Mississippi River. There were times he’d be on the river for three months or longer. When Anthony wasn’t working, he would visit family to let them know he had time off, but then out the door he’d go, on to another adventure. By 30 years of age, he had already seen most of the United States and had flown overseas. Anthony enjoyed driving the open road and loved fast cars. The faster the better, and traveling gave him the opportunity to find out just how fast they went. Anthony had a loving and kind soul that will be deeply missed by all who had the chance to know him.

Those left behind to cherish Tony’s memory are his mother, Lori McCloud; father, Kevin McCloud; brother, Alan McCloud and his wife, Kimi; sister, Beth McCloud; aunt, Terri Girouard; aunt, Paula Brown and her husband, Barry; uncle, David Girouard and his wife, Sarah; uncle, Danny Girouard and his wife, Lori; Richard Trahan; his big little sister, Ilma Girouard; Crystal Girouard; and numerous loving relatives and friends that were considered family.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Anthony’s life will be held at a later date.
