Anthony Morrell, 38, of Groves, died Friday, June 1, 2012 in Beaumont.Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, June 4, 2012 at Melancon39s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H, in Nederland with Rev. T. R. Blanco officiating, with interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 12 noon until service time on Monday at the funeral home.Anthony was born January 29, 1974 in Port Arthur to Kenneth and Betty Morrell. He lived all of his life in Port Arthur and Groves area and was employed as a truck driver with Baxter Oil Company in Beaumont.Anthony was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth he is survived by his mother, Betty Ann Morrell of Groves daughter, Tabitha Morrell of Groves son, Mason Morrell of Groves brothers, Mario Morrell of Illinois, and Joseph Morrell of Groves also several nieces and nephews.

Betty, We just learned of Anthony and Kenneths passing. I am so sorry for your losses. I have many fond memories of growing up across the street from you all. Anthony was a sweet boy and I will always remember his beautiful eyes. May God be your strength and comfort during this difficult time. I just learned of Anthonys passing today, and I am sorry to hear the news. He and I worked together at Central Mall Security from 1995 to 1997. Will keep Anthony, and his family, in my thoughts and prayers.

I cant even find the words to express how deeply saddened I am during this time. I will always cherish our times playing on Oleander, gossiping at the mall or hanging out in Anthony Kellis apartment so many years ago laughing So many memories...I just wish there were more recent ones.
