Antonios P. "Tony" Konidis, 84, of Groves, Texas passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur. Antonios was born February 10, 1934 in Polichni, Greece to Panagiotis Konidis and Nikoletta Markopoulou Konidis. He was a resident of this area for 30 years and member of the Greek Orthodox Church. Antonios was a self-employed cook for 58 years and retired from Universal Services for offshore rigs. He proudly served in the Greek military. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Bonnie Marie Konidis; and brother, Aristotelis "Teli" Konidis. Survivors include his daughters, Tina Mikes and husband Alan of Houston, and Tammy Harris and husband Mark of Sugar Land; son, Pete Konidis and wife Kelaine of Groves; sisters, Dina Iuopoulou , Georgia Sakelarid, and Eygenia Koutsiou all of Athens, Greece; step-daughters, Leatice Gudino and husband Jose of Groves, and Denise Shaw and husband Lonnie of Groves; grandchildren, Anthony Mikes, Travis Mikes, Matthew Mikes, Kaylee Konidis, Veronica Ochoa, Olivia Colin, Roxanna Cardenas, Robbie Colin,Brittney Shive, Brandi Shive, and Michelle Jahrig; and twelve great-grandchildren. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 4, 2019 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., with Father Michael Pavez officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
