The first time I really remember Arnold was my senior year of high school. I went to Port Arthur for Christmas break to take care of Becky because she was in a car accident. She and Ruby were in the hospital (Eddie's birth). For New Year's day I was invited to have dinner with the family. We all sat around that table and said grace, which was never said at my house and said how much we loved each family member. I was so impressed. Arnold, as the head of the family, thanked me for being there and helping his family in their need. He was such a kind and gentle man, as was all of his family. I will never forget him and the love he had for his family.
