Arthur Perry McGown, 93, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017. He was born February 12, 1923 in Geneva, Texas to the late Perry Lester McGown and Vivian Williams. Arthur retired from Neches Butane over the maintenance department as chief planner with 36 years of service. He also served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II in the OSS. He loved his Lord, family, fishing, and playing Hand and Foot.
He is survived by his wife Enola McGown; children Linda Brinkley and husband Pat, Brenda Noone and husband Jimmy; grandsons Deans Brinkley and wife Margaret, Dan Brinkley and wife Pam, Tim Noone and wife Beatrice, Kevin Noone and wife Brenda; granddaughter Carrie Perkins and husband Courtney; nine great-grandchildren; sister Rose McGee; sister-in-law Dorothy McGown; step children Lisa Daigle and husband Allen, Sondra Stockholm and husband Ronnie, Barbara Murphy and husband Lonnie, Judy Thomas and husband Tommy, Connie Borque and husband Johnny, Carl Dupuis, Wayne Dupuis and wife Christian, Kenneth Dupuis; and numerous step grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 55 years and mother of his children, Ella McGown; brothers Bruce and Billy McGown; sister-in-law Lonnie McGown; and great-grandson Johnathan Noone.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland Texas. A gathering of the friends and family will be Monday, January 23, 2017 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
