Arthur Moon Weber Jr.

Arthur “Moon” Weber, Jr., 95, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022, in Mobile, Alabama.

Moon was born on September 6, 1926, in Morgan City, Louisiana to Aileen Ledet Weber and Arthur Joseph Weber, Sr. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in World War II and was a retired operations supervisor for Texaco for thirty-seven years. Moon was also a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Nederland. He was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Charles and participated in many church activities. Moon was a deeply religious man who loved his family and friends dearly. He was known for calling people on the phone and enjoyed visiting with them and telling stories and sharing things with them.

Survivors include his son, Dwayne Weber and his wife Diana of Mobile, Alabama; grandchildren, Ticia, Tiffanye, Holly, Emily, Ryan and Stepen; great grandchildren, Noah, Rico, Kia, Antonio, Ava, Kyla, Kelsey, Kloe and Parker. Moon was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Dale Weber and the love of his life, Joye “Tee” Weber.

A gathering of friends and family will be Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Melancon Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial that will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland with Father John Hughes and Father Stephen McCrate officiating. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas.

The Henderson family loved Pop and his beautiful Meme. We remember him fondly with a smile on our faces. He always made us feel like he loved us too. Generous, kind -hearted, always helping others - certainly a life well lived And such an example to all. Our deepest condolences to all our Weber friends. A very dear friend of my late husband Orlan (Buck) Foshee and mine. Buck use to say if he needed a special prayer answered he would let Moon and Tee know. because they had a direct line to the man up above. My deepest sympathy to Dwayne and family. My deepest sympathies and prayers go out to the Weber family during their time of sorrow and loss. I worked with Moon in the sixties and early seventies at Texaco PAW, shared many a tall tale and laugh with him. A wonderful man and friend. Rest well old friend in the arms and grace of God, you have earned it.
