Aubrey H. Stanton

Reverend Aubrey H. Stanton, 80, of Groves, Texas passed away Friday, March 11, 2016 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home. Reverend Stanton was born May 14, 1935 in Lubbock, Texas to Jewell H. Stanton and Margaret Ruth McCullough Stanton. He was a resident of Groves for 13 years and a member of Abundant Life Sanctuary. He retired as a minister of the United Pentecostal Church. Survivors include his son, Reverend Mark Stanton and his wife Karen of Westlake, LA; daughter, Susan Kunkel and her husband Bruce of Woodville, TX; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A visitation for family and friends will be Monday, March 14, 2016 from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Abundant Life Sanctuary Church. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the church with Reverend David Myer, Reverend Will Cohron, and Reverend Jimmy Holland officiating. Burial will follow at 4:00 p.m., at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center, Texas under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Groves.
