Audrey Mae Matte, 80, of Bridge City, Texas passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Brookdale Nursing Facility in Houston, Texas. Audrey was born August 26, 1937 in Mermentau, Louisiana to Forest LaVergne and Maline Terro LaVergne. Audrey was a lifelong area resident and member of St. Henry Catholic Church. She worked as a bank teller for 35 years; her last employer was Bridge City Bank. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mazie "Belle" Guidry; brothers, Kearney LaVergne, F. J. "Blackie" LaVergne, and Carroll "Sonny" LaVergne. Survivors include her daughters, Rana Miller and husband Ricki of Nederland, TX, Misty Matte of Spring, TX, Tricha Stilley and husband Daryl of The Woodlands, TX; son, Tiger Matte of Beaumont, TX; grandchildren, Taylor Henderson and husband Jason, Maegan Fontenot, Sydney Stilley, River Matte, Peyton Miller, Logan Stilley; and grandcat, Sebastian. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Burial will be at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your sweet mother. Ms Audrey and I worked together at BC Bank back in the 80's..... love love loved her soooo much. Always such a sweet lady. RIP Ms Matte✝️
