Audrey Mae Varnado, 84, of Port Arthur, Texas died Monday, March 19, 2012 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Audrey was born December 13, 1927 in Kentwood, Louisiana to Earnest Alan Dillon and Betty Wall Dillon. She was a resident of Port Arthur for 54 years and was co-owner of Varnado's Garage. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches, Texas with Reverend Douglas Graham officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Felix H. Varnado. Surviving relatives include her daughter, Phyllis Marie Varnado LeBlanc and husband Derrile of Vidor, Texas; son, John E. Varnado of Port Arthur, Texas; sister, Dorothy Bridges and husband Clarence of Port Neches, Texas; grandchildren, Robin Smith, Amber Griffith, Sherri Jones and husband Jason, April Gill and husband Steven; great grandchildren, Zack Gill, Breanna Smith, Rebecca Reed, and Baby Jones.

I did not really know her that well, but she was my grandmothers sister. I'm sure she is with her now and they are smiling down on all of us.
