Uncle Auggie was larger than life, with a laugh that could fill a room. He had the biggest heart and his love for others is inspiring. I am so grateful for the time that I got to spend with him, my dad, and Uncle Dan getting to know him better and listening to the memories that he held so dear. I will always love you Uncle Auggie!

Met Auggie when I came on board the USS Canopus AS-34 in Rota, Spain. He was a great shipmate and really enjoyed working with him in the Engine Room on the ship. We managed to keep in touch and spend time together at several Navy Reunions for the USS Canopus, he was excited to be coming to Omaha, NE. this summer for our reunion in August. Will miss him very much, Fair Winds and Smooth Seas Auggie.

I will always have wonderful memories of Jay and I drinking coffee with Auggie and Christie on weekend mornings. We had some great and fun conversations. We laughed, we debated, we caught up on family. Most of all, we enjoyed being together. I pray that our Lord comfort and strengthen each of you. Love Rachel

What a great man, I had the pleasure of working with Auggie and always enjoyed his return visits after his retirement. I loved listening to his stories and seeing that huge grin on his face. He will be missed by all his MARAD Family. Our prayers go out to all the family. Carla Brown
