Avalon Henson, 83, of Georgetown, Texas formerly of Groves passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Georgetown Hospital. Avalon was born December 5, 1926 in Stanley, Louisiana to William O. Moseley and Maggie Elizabeth Little Moseley. She was a resident of Groves for 45 years before moving to Georgetown 8 years ago. She was also the former business owner of Jefferson Construction and Office Gallery. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Avalon was preceded in death by her husband, Al Henson; parents Will and Maggie Moseley; sisters, Myrtle Craig and Flonita Reaves. Survivors include her son, Bill Henson of Georgetown, TX; granddaughter, Clancy Henson of Georgetown, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Mr. Jeremy Houck pastor of Park Central Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday morning at the funeral home.
