Barbara Ann Crain, 69, of Nederland, Texas passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021 in Beaumont, Texas. Barbara was born on March 8, 1952 in Longview, Texas to the late, George Ramon Corie and Mavis Reeks Corie.
Barbara enjoyed teaching Sunday school at the West Groves Church of Christ and volunteering her time with the Head Start programs in Beaumont, Texas as well as in Orange, Texas. She was also a seamstress and gave away many bibles as a way of witnessing to others.
Those left to cherish Barbara’s memory include her loving husband of 48 years, Doug Crain of Nederland, Texas; her daughter, Laura Callahan of Steven’s Point, WI; and her cousins, Melodie Willis and Jeannine Allen.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, George Ramon Corie and Mavis Reeks Corie.
An interment ceremony will be held at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 2:00p.m. Services are under the direction of Melancon’s Funeral Home.
