Barbara Jean Ainsworth

Barbara Allen Ainsworth, 76, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Monday, March 22, 2010 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas. She was born in Port Neches on August 19, 1934 to Robert and Author Lee Ledis Allen. She was a lifelong resident of Port Neches. She was educated in the Port Neches Schools and was a graduate of Lamar University earning a Bachelor and Master degrees in education. She was employed by the Port NechesGroves ISD for 32 years. She was a Mathematics Teacher for 17 years and a Guidance Counselor for 15 years. Barbara was a member of the Red Hat Society and the MidJefferson county Retired School Personnel.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Heritage Funeral Home in Nederland with Dr. David Mahfouz officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 26 at the funeral home.
