Jean Lonadier, 91, of Groves, Texas, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at her residence.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. at Park Central Church of Christ in Port Arthur, Texas.
Jean was born in Center, Texas, on January 15, 1932, to Patrick Davis Jr. and Inez Childs-Davis. She was a manager at Sears in Beaumont and Port Arthur until her retirement in 1985. She loved to square dance and was a member of the Swinging Squares in Port Neches, TX and travelled with the Camping Squares. She also kept busy with painting, needlework, gardening, and puzzles. She was a great card and domino player as well. But her most favorite thing was to host Thanksgiving each year for her large extended family.
She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ all of her life and was part of the Park Central Church of Christ of Port Arthur, TX at the time of her death.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Perkins; and granddaughter, Katya Boyle.
She is survived by her husband of fifteen years, Daniel Lonadier of Groves, TX; two daughters, Pam Boyle and husband Dan of Tyler, TX; Cindy Perio and husband Don of Mandeville, LA; son Terry Perkins and wife Dixie of Groves, TX; eight grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
The family would like to recognize her hospice nurse Caroline Blanding and her special caregivers Trinette Rose, Delores Yeggins, Rhonda Ford, and Cora Wooten for their kindness, love, and tender care.
