Benny G. Baker

Benny G. Baker, 65, of Fannett, Texas passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018. Benny was born in Madison, Tennessee on January 8, 1953 to Robert Gale Baker and Margaret Marlin Baker.

Benny worked as a truck driver for most of his life, he loved the outdoors and deer hunting.

Those left to cherish Benny’s memory are his loving wife of 45 years, Phyllis Baker of Fannett; his mother, Margaret Baker of Nederland; two sisters, Sally Smith and her husband, Dwayne of Port Neches and Patty Harris and her husband, David of Fannett; one brother Danny Baker of Fannett; two nieces, Leslie and Lauren, and two nephews, Jacob and Brad.

Benny is preceded in death by his father, Robert Gale Baker.

A visitation will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with the funeral service to begin immediately following the visitation at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland.

My sincere sympathy to the family on your loss. I am a 1970 graduate of nederland high school, I really didn't know benny but he is an alum of Nederland high school. May god enfold you all in his compassionate, loving, and healing arms. May he comfort you in your time of grief. I'm sure benny was a wonderful man. God bless you all.
