Bertha David Knost, 89, of Nederland, passed away Sunday May 29, 2016. Bertha is preceded in death by her mother and father Paula Lopez and Whitney Lange; husband Ono David; brothers Curley and Dudley Lange; sisters Lula Mae Menard, Lucy Romero, and Lydia Trahan; son-in-law Tommy Bailey; and great-grandchild Megan Procter. Bertha is survived by her significant other Walter Coverdale; daughters Ruby Bailey, and Bernice Segura; son Larry David; grandchildren Charisse Procter, Tiffany LeLeu, Amanda Segura, Erica Ghanem, Audra Lu, Marcus, Ryan, and Taryn David; great-grandchildren Tabitha LeLeu, Jose and Ariel David; and many other family and friends. The viewing will be Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Melancon's Funeral Home in Nederland from 10-2 p.m. Following the viewing, a service will begin at 2 p.m. with burial to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
