Bertie Anne Hightower, 74, of Port Neches, Texas died Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Christus St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur, Texas. Bertie was born August 29, 1937 in Port Arthur, Texas to Jack Bourgeois and Corinne Guabert Bourgeois. She was a resident of Port Neches for 27 years and a retired Office Administrator at Golden Triangle Convalescent Center. She graduated from Bishop Byrne High School and Port Arthur College and was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 26, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches with Reverend Monsignor Bennie Patillo officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Monday, December 26, 2011 at the funeral home. Bertie was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Hightower. Surviving relatives include her daughter, Karen Beggs and husband Matt of Port Neches, Texas; son, Kevin Hightower of Port Neches, Texas; former daughter in law, Bridgett Mary Hightower of Port Neches, Texas; 5 grandchildren, Audriana Hightower, Brittany Hightower, Catherine Hightower, Angelle Beggs and Andre Beggs and great grandson, Landon Reyes.
