Betsy Kay Rich

Betsy Kay Rich, 62, of Fannett, Texas passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. Betsy was born February 14, 1957 in Port Arthur, Texas to Gene Hickey and Jane Corbin Hickey. She was a lifelong area resident. Betsy was a retired teacher with over 30 years of service, 17 of those years were with the Port Arthur ISD. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jane Hickey; two brothers, Gary Hickey and Terry Hickey. Survivors include her husband David B. Rich of Fannett; father, Gene Hickey of Port Neches; daughter, Katie Porter and husband Bryan of Nederland; brother, Randy Hickey and wife Wanda of Houston, and grandson, Jameson Porter. A visitation for family and friends will be Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Texas from 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at 4:30 p.m., Monday, January 27, 2020 at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Port Neches with Reverend Mark Chambers officiating. A graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Muse Cemetery in Anderson County, Texas Friends wishing to make memorial contributions may send them to: American Diabetes Association, 2400 Augusta Drive, Houston, TX 77057-4989 or ASPCA.

I just learned of Betsy's death. I am so sad about this. I've been praying for her daily. She was a beautiful lady, a wonderful teacher and so so sweet. I'm very sorry for the loss of your mother.
