Betty Nell Desormeaux, 82, of Jasper, Texas formerly of LaBelle, Texas passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.
Betty was born September 21, 1939 in New Iberia, Louisiana to Freddie Romero and Eunice Boutte Romero.
She was a Homemaker and a resident of LaBelle, Texas for 50 years before moving to Jasper, Texas.
Betty was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches, Texas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, September 27, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches with Reverend Jim McClintock officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, September 26, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Desormeaux, sister, Sally Thomas and daughter in law, Lisa Michelle "Missy" Desormeaux.
Surviving relatives include her daughters, Debbie Richards and husband Bobby of Sour Lake, Texas and Diana Harvell and husband Willie of Fannett, Texas; son, Darrell Desormeaux of Jasper, Texas; sisters, Molly Jeanis of Tennessee and Dolly Odom of Lumberton, Texas; grandchildren, Clint Richards and wife Jami, Mitzi Arney and husband Garrett, and Caleb Desormeaux; great grandchildren, David Richards, Natali Richards, Cohen Arney, and Landon Arney.
