Betty Jane Guidry, 88, of Groves, Texas passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2016. Betty was born June 15, 1928 in Port Arthur, Texas to Ben Guidry and Marcella Johnson Guidry. She was a lifelong area resident. She retired after 41 years of service as a secretary for the Criminal District Attorney of Jefferson County. Survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend John Hughes officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Friends wishing to make memorial contributions may send them to the American Cancer Society or Lung Cancer Association.
