Betty Jean Hand

Betty Turman Hand, 78, of Nederland, Texas passed away on March 20, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. She was born in Hubbard, Texas on May 24, 1935 to the late Robert Floyd and Edna Mae Johnson Turman.
Funeral services will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Neal Payne officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at the funeral home.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert Hand; and her daughters, Gloria Reynolds and Debbie Firmin. She is survived by her daughter, Sandi Welch and husband, Kenny of Nederland; grandchildren, Stacy Delarosa and husband David, Joey Reynolds and wife Tiffany, Stormy Wright and husband Jeffrey, Shelby Johnson and husband John, Shayne Welch, and Jake Welch; 9 great-grandchildren; and her son-in-laws, Terry Firmin and Joe Reynolds. Also, she is survived by many other close family and friends.
