Betty Lee Lloyd, 79, of Beaumont, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014 at the Rose House in Port Arthur.

Mrs. Lloyd was born on August 21, 1934 in Port Arthur to the late Aury Walsh and Asilee Mixon and lived all of her life in the Port Neches and Beaumont area. She was a homemaker and an avid bowler.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland with burial to follow at the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Sour Lake. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5 to 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lloyd is survived by her husband, John Lloyd of Beaumont; her son, Gene Richey and his wife Kae of Port Neches; her step-daughter, Linda McCreary of Houston; her brother, Billy Walsh of Port Neches. Also surviving are her granddaughter, Haylee Hartje and her great-granddaughter, Alexa Hartje.
