Betty Jean Montgomery

Betty Jean Montgomery, 87, of Port Neches, Texas, died Friday, January 4, 2013, at Christus St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur, Texas. Betty was born July 30, 1925, in Goose Creek, Texas, to George Coppenger and Eva Nichols Coppenger. She was a resident of Port Neches for 65 years and a homemaker and wonderful mother. Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 12, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches with Dr. Phil Sigman officiating and Mr. Michael VanZandt assisting. Visitation for family and friends will be from 12:00 Noon until service time Saturday, January 12, 2013, at the funeral home. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. James C. Montgomery and her beloved sister, Lucille Geldard. Surviving relatives include her daughter, Jan Hankamer of Nederland, Texas; son, Harry Montgomery of Port Neches, Texas; grandchildren, Cale Montgomery, Elizabeth Campbell, and Mason Hankamer and numerous nieces and nephews.
