Betty Jo Rambin, 81, of Groves passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Lake Arthur Place in Port Arthur, Texas. She was born on April 19, 1935 in Coushatta, Louisiana to Joseph and Exie Eldridge Rambin. Betty was lifelong area resident and graduated in 1954 from Thomas Jefferson High School. She was a member of Val Verde Baptist Church and was retired as a secretary in Food Service Administration with Port Arthur Independent School District after 40 years of service. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend Michael Stone of Lighthouse Fellowship Church in Wills Point, Texas officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be Thursday morning before the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Betty was preceded in death by her three brothers, J.W. Eldridge, Marvin Rambin and Ernest Rambin and nephew, Kelly Eldridge. She is survived by her sister in law, Ann Rambin of Nederland, two nieces, Cindy Kimball and husband Paul of Nederland and Jane Barron and husband Charles of Port Arthur, two nephews, Marvin Rambin and wife Pat of Nederland and Dennis Rambin and wife Jill of Nederland, great nieces, Crystal Proenza and Shalayne Stinson and husband Josh, great nephews, Damon Rambin, Blake Rambin and wife Lilia and Taylor Rambin, three great great nieces, and seven great great nephews.
