Betty Irene Stratton, 74, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Monday, May 15, 2017. Betty was born March 6, 1944 in Hemphill, Texas. She was a resident of this area for 39 years and retired as a security guard from Huntsman. She was also self- employed at CBL Woodcraft in Groves. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Stratton; daughter, Pamela Thibodeaux; son, Clifton Craig; and sister, Mary Rice. Survivors include her sisters, Ruth Gaspard and husband Junior of Lufkin, Angela Edgar and husband Steve of Lufkin; brother, Greg Ener and wife Tammy of Lufkin; grandchildren, Shandi Chapa and husband Johnny, and Allen James Thibodeaux III; great-grandchildren, Logan Chapa and Austin Chapa. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 19, 2017 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Dr. Rick Erwin pastor of Procter Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

No woman ever loved their family more than Betty. She gave all she had to give for them and animals in need. She had a heart of gold and we will all miss her so much. Especially Austin and Logan. â ¤ï¸
