Betty Weatherford

Betty Cruse Weatherford, 90, of Zavala TX, Texas passed away Friday, April 27, 2018. She was born on November 28, 1927 in Shelbyville, TX to the late, John Cruse and Stella Tyler Cruse.

Betty is survived by her sons, Roy Weatherford, and wife Laura, of Port Neches, and Terry Weatherford, and wife Wanda, of Nederland; her sister, Billy Kay of Huxley, Texas; eight grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, R.D “Skeeter” Weatherford; three brothers; and one sister.

A gathering of family and friends will take place on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Seventh Street Baptist Church in Nederland from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Kevin McWilliams and Reverend Hilton Ferguson will be officiating. Internment will follow the funeral service at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.

The family requests that all memorial donations be made to the Mission Fund of Seventh Street Baptist Church.
