Beverly Ann Fontenot Nixson

Beverly Ann Fontenot Nixson, 70, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas.

Beverly was born July 11, 1950 in Port Arthur, Texas to Willis Fontenot and Rosa Belle Fontenot. She was a lifelong resident of this area and a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches. Beverly retired from Port Arthur ISD having worked in the cafeteria at Travis Elementary with 20 plus years of service.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches with Reverend Shiju Churakal officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, September 22, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Beverly was preceded in death by her mother, Rosa Belle Fontenot, and brothers-in-law, Dennis Nixson and Dennis Holberg.

Surviving relatives include her husband of 50 years, Frank "Nick" Nixson of Port Neches, Texas; sons, David Nixson and wife Vicki of Port Neches, Texas, Derrill Nixson of Port Neches, Texas; grandchildren, Kynlee Nixson, Kade Morgan, and Kalah Morgan all of Port Neches, Texas; father, Willis Fontenot of Port Arthur, Texas; sisters, Debbie Fontenot Holberg of Nederland, Texas, Susan Fontenot Singleton and husband Bryan of Nederland, Texas, and Milissa Fontenot of Port Neches, Texas; brother, Kevin Fontenot of Port Arthur, Texas; brother-in-law, Terry Nixson and wife Lana of College Station, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

I'm going to miss you Beverly. I've been missing you already for the last month or so. Now it's real. I'm sad to see you leave this earth but glad your not in any more pain and that your at peace. I want you to know I have always treasured our sister/friend relationship. I will treasure our talks and advice we had/gave each other. I love you Beverly and will miss you a whole bunch. Tell Moma hi for me.

Beverly's family and mine have been close friends since before we were both born. I am only two months older than her so we grew up like brother and sister. She will be missed! My deepest sympathy is offered to her family, not as a friend, but as an adopted son. Love you all!
